SUB THEME/4: DIVINE MEANS OF HEALING
TOPIC: Requisite attributes
TEXT: II Chron. 7:12 – 14; Joel 2:12 – 14.AIM: To
- Appreciate the requirements for healing of our land;
- Thirst after and develop suchrequirements.
INTRODUCTION
Under this sub-theme, we will see the different means God has used to heal lands that were cursed or had been under siege. Sometimes, God acted directly without partnering with man; He simply acted in response to prayers alone or even without prayers. But at other times, He expected and waited for corresponding acts of faith to be done by men to match their prayers. God is ready to heal our land but there are more conditions to be met. There are things God expects from us, if our land will be healed.
We will see in today’s study certain attributes of men that attracted divine response. It is expected that these will challenge us to develop such essential attributes. The hands we lift in prayers must be holy; and there should also be humility and sincerity.
